Press Release

NORTH WEBSTER — The Watershed Foundation has released the winners of its 2020 photo contest “Picture Your Watershed.” The non-profit organization is most grateful to all who participated.

This year, 91 photographers submitted 208 pictures.

By showcasing beauty and biodiversity, good fun and good stewardship practices, the photography helps TWF further its mission of protecting and improving water quality in the lakes and streams of the Upper Tippecanoe River watershed. TWF is located at the North Webster Community Center.

The categories are People’s Choice, won by Shane Hastings. It was of the Everest’s dock on Ridinger Lake and chosen by popular vote online. Cathy Davis took home the Pollution Solutions category with her photo “Native Plants to the Rescue on Loon Lake.”

Nature’s Studio went to Stephanie Goss for “Reflecting at Crooked Lake” while Alli Simpson captured the prize in Wet ‘n Wild with “PAWfect Sunset” on Chapman Lake. “Toddler Sunset Surf” by Katie Richer was the top choice for Lovin’ the Lakes. The photo was taken on Lake Tippecanoe.

The 2021 contest will begin in July. More information will be on The Watershed Foundation Facebook page and online at watershedfoundation.org later this year.
